Charity Paige Akers

A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, and friend, Charity Paige Akers left this world unexpectedly at 22 on December 31, 2022. Charity was born in Winston Salem, NC on March 24, 2000 to Bryan Akers and Terrie Sturgill-Rubeck.

Charity was a loving and compassionate person with a laugh that could light up your soul. Charity loved her family and enjoyed family games while sitting on the front porch. She enjoyed camping, sitting outside by the fire and going to the lake with family and friends. Charity attended Oak Hill High School where she was cheerleader and a

great softball player. Charity graduated from Davie County High School in NC.

Most of all Charity loved and adored her daughter Carter Rae Hopkins, which was her entire world. If you were lucky enough to be present when Charity would gaze into Carter's eyes, you would witness pure love and joy radiating everywhere. Charity wanted nothing more than the best for Carter.

Charity is preceded in death by her stepmother, Tonya Akers;

Grandparents, JD and Reta Akers; Lawerence and Joann Sturgill;

Lester Howard.

Charity is survived by her Daughter Carter Rae Hopkins; Mother Terrie Rubeck; Father Bryan Akers; Step father Chad Rubeck; Sisters Destiny and husband, JR Booth; Danyelle and Eric Harward; Madison Akers; Brothers Ethan Akers and Colton Akers. Grandmother Jeanette Cook; Carter's father, Dylan Hopkins; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 5:00 pm with Pastor James Chapman officiating. Friends may gather with the family beginning at 3:00 pm until service time.
