Broadis Rayburn Williams

Broadis Rayburn Williams, 79, of Raleigh, NC passed away on October 24, 2022 after battling a long illness.

In addition to being a loving husband, father, and grandpa he was known far and wide as a selfless, loving person to many family members, friends and to everyone throughout his entire life. His passions included anything he did with his loving wife, spending time with his children, and watching those grandkids play ball. He will forever be known for his big, kind, caring heart and someone that never gave up.

His wife Joyce, of 58 years was his best friend who he always put first and the love of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Broadis Williams, his mother, Margaret Williams, and a sister, Jaqueline Williams Bacon.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Carroll Williams; four daughters, Terri Bias and husband, John, Margaret Williams and husband, Greggory Paschal, Robin Purser and husband, Rodney, Donna Rae Mason and fiancé, Bubba Auteri; one son, Jeff Williams; eight grandkids, Nicholas(Christina High), Justin, Tristan, Brianna, Dylan, Dalton, Joshua, and Taylor; one brother, Alton Williams; two sisters, Eileen Hardin and Jeanetta Williams. He wanted to recognize a few other children that impacted his life, Genna Rae, Jenna, Jill, Katie, and Rebecca plus many more.

Funeral Service will be held 12:00PM Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Rev. Joe Barnett and Pastor Jerry Walker officiating. Following the service he will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.

Friends may gather with the family from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Saturday, October 29, 2022 and from 11:00AM until time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.
