Bobby Lee Rutledge, age 80, of Beaver, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Bowers Hospice House. Born on October 12, 1939 in Beckley, he was the son of the late William Webster Rutledge and Lula Jane Graham Rutledge.
Mr. Rutledge was a coal miner for over 30 years. He had a passion and a love for dancing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Dottie Mae Rutledge; his second wife of 15 years, Bertha Viola Rutledge; one sister; and three brothers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Connie White and husband, Ronnie, Ronnie Rutledge, and Robert Rutledge and wife, Ellen; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Thompson and husband, Nick, and Joann Pruitt; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 pm, Thursday, February 27th at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, February 28, 2020 in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Preacher David Bush officiating. Burial will follow the services in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers honoring Mr. Rutledge are Josh Rutledge, Luke Maynard, Dallas Hylton, Johnny Crawford, Joey Crawford and Greg Meadows.
