Billie Jean (Acord) Davis

Our beloved Billie Jean Acord- Davis age 88, went to her Heavenly home on May 13, 2023. The daughter of the late Wilbert Haven Acord and Mary Francis Cook Acord. She was born March 14, 1935 on Acord Mountain near Slab Fork.

Billie Jean was a Christian and was a member of the Akers Missionary Baptist Church at Maple Meadow, WV most of her life.

Billie was an avid reader, loved gardening, hunting, fishing, and loved the outdoors. She loved spending time with her family. Billie and her husband, Roy Davis lived with her parents and took care of them till their death.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; four sisters, Oma Acord, Charlotte Cozart, Jessie Smith, and Eunice Roupe; three brothers, Fred, James, and Evert and several nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sister, Willie Dean Acord Roe, whom resided with her and was her caretaker for the past 5 years. She is also survived by nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00PM Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Beckley with Rev. Colton Acord officiating. Following the services Billie will be laid to rest at Acord Mountain Cemetery, Acord Mountain.

Friends may gather with the family from 11:00AM until time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
