Betty Mae "Bae" Fitzwater

BETTY “BAE” MAE FITZWATER Betty “Bae” Mae Fitzwater, 90, of Jonben, slipped into eternity on Sunday, March 22, at Pine Lodge Nursing Facility. Born May 21, 1924 at Beelick Knob, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Goddard, Jr and the late Mabel Davis Goddard. She retired as the Post Master from the Jonben Post Office having served more than 30 years. She was of the Pentecostal Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonzo Fitzwater; a brother, James “Boo” Goddard and a sister, Virginia Goddard Fitzwater. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Louise Pegram Williams and husband, Danny of Princewick, Lonzo Lovell Fitzwater, Jr and wife, Nancy of Shepherdsville, KY, Steve Fitzwater and wife, Johnah of Beckley, and Randy Fitzwater and wife, Darbra of Covington, KY; grandchildren, Amanda Clyburn and husband, Jerryd of Beckley, Debbie Hull and husband, Tom of Daniels, Jennifer Aoun of Shepherdsville, KY, Misty Black and husband, Brian of Princewick, Sarah Fitzwater of Sullivan, Danielle Fitzwater and companion Lonnie Woodrum of Jonben and Billy Madden of Covington, KY; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; many extended family and friends. Services to celebrate the life of Betty Mae Fitzwater will be held 2:00PM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Bishop Fredrick Lee Fischer and Bishop Chris Fitzwater officiating. Following the services Betty will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may gather with the family from 6:00PM until 9:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association 1601 2nd Avenue Charleston WV 25837.
