Barbara Jean Wright went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2023. She was born May 23, 1933 to the late Fletcher and Laura Jesse Smith.
Barb was a devout Christian and a member of Bolt Church of God. She loved spending time with her family and held a special place in her heart for each grandchild.
She will be reunited with her husband Sankie Wright Jr. and son, Sankie Wright III.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kathy Wright and husband Andy Toney. Sons. Larry Wright and wife Lucille, Jackie Wright and wife Darlene, 11 grandkids, 21 great grandkids, and 10 great-great grandkids.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday August 15, 2023 at 1PM with Pastor Garry Hall officiating. The family will begin receiving visitors on Tuesday at 11 AM until the time of the services. The entombment will follow after her services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family will be serving as pallbearers. Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive of Beckley is honored to be serving the Wright family.
