ARLENE WILLIAMS Arlene Williams, 74, of North Sand Branch Road, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Bowers Hospice House, following a short battle with cancer. Born May 6, 1940 at Clear Creek, WV; she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Mina Ewing Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Franklin Jack and her second husband, Lorn Williams; a son, Dillard Jack; daughter-in-law, Betty Williams; sisters, Ruby Williams, Dorothy and Eva Bailey; and a brother-in-law, Ricky Williams. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Cecil Page Williams and wife, Connie of Clear Creek, Buford Ray Williams and wife, Dianne of Clear Creek, and Timmy Williams and wife, Kathy of Peach Tree. Grandchildren, Chrissy Jack, who made her home with Arlene, Ronnie, Tommy, TJ, Joey and Patrick Williams, Jeremy and Jason Maynor, Lauren McKenny , Amanda Clemens, and Mereda Richmond; several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Renee Jack; brother-in-law, Randy Williams and wife, Angie of Clear Creek; two sisters, Arbutus Williams of Clear Creek and Helen Blevins and husband, Jim of Narrows, VA; she also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved dearly; and her precious little dog, Cocoa. Arlene attended the Maple Fork Baptist Church and Ewing Creek Community Church. She loved spending time with her family and vacationing with her sister, Arbutus and family. She enjoyed making lots of precious memories at Holden Beach, Dollywood, and the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. She also enjoyed camping, and hunting with her late husband, Lorn. Arlene loved reading, making delicious homemade candy, helping in the kitchen at Ewing Creek Bible School, eating hotdogs and sundaes from Tom’s in Oak Hill, and going for drives thru the mountains of WV. She was a retired CNA from Pinecrest Hospital where she worked as a CNA. Services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastors Jim Bowyer, Jerry Tyree, and Loretta Taylor officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00PM until time of the service Saturday. In keeping with Arlene’s wishes, her niece, Diann Collins will sing at the service along with Diann’s grandchildren who loved their Granny Arlene. Arlene requested the children to sing Jesus Loves Me for her. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801 in her honor.
