Anna Izella Pinson Perdue, age 78 of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Bowers Hospice House in Cranberry following an extended illness. She was born on the 20th day of January in 1936 in Carbondale, West Virginia to the late John E. Pinson and Charlotte Dent Pinson. Anna was a homemaker; a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren and tending to her flower gardens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. ‘Jack’ Perdue; son, Jeffrey Alan Perdue; brother, John R. Pinson; and grandsons, Wallace Craft III and Jonathan James. Those left to carry on her legacy include her daughter, Diana Craft and husband Sheldon of Gatewood; sons, Michael Perdue and wife Becky of Oak Hill, James ‘Jamie’ Perdue, Jr. and wife Betsy of Lookout, Jackie Perdue and wife Amy of Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Rose Evans Perdue Jones of Franklinton, NC; sisters, Kathryn Jo Williams of Oak Hill and Betty Lane Maynor of Beckley; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Services to celebrate the life of Anna Perdue will be conducted at 2pm Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel in Prosperity with Rev. Pete Lokant and Pastor Samuel Simuzoshya officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens also in Prosperity. Pallbearers will be served by family and friends. Evening of visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-9pm at the Blue Ridge Funeral Home.
