Alice Marie Vaughan, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley. Born on September 22, 1936 in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Martin and Pearly Mae Goff Martin.
Alice was a member of Black Eagle First Baptist Church in Wyoming County. She loved making quilts and had a passion for floral gardening and making flower arrangements.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Vaughan; and nine brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Mary Frye and her husband, Rick, Nancy Moore and her husband, Vaughn, and Elmer Massey and his wife, Pam; three grandchildren, Buddy Massey, Mike Massey and Patricia Chris; four great-grandchildren; sister, Beulah Massey; and brothers, Fred Martin and Robert Martin.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:00 pm, Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Garden of the Last Supper in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
