Mary Zook

She graduated from high school in Arcadia, Nebraska. On December 29, 1942, she married Lester Eugene Zook, II. they had two children, Lester E., III and Linda.

She supported her Naval Officer husband's career in Hawaii, San Diego and other places. After his retirement they settled in Springfield, Oregon and Yuma, Arizona.

Mary particularly enjoyed golf and bridge. In 2003 she moved to Portland, Oregon to be near her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Burkhart and her husband, Chris; grandchildren, Lester E., IV and Leah Burkhart; sister, Helen Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband and son.

A graveside service will be Monday, August 22, 2011, at 2:00 pm at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

Memorial contributions may be made to Springfield Elks Lodge No. 2145.
