Lex was born July 15, 1950 to parents who immigrated from Scotland at the end of WWII. He was born in Santa Monica, California and raised in SoCal. Lex graduated from Buena High School in Ventura, California and The California Maritime Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences & Engineering.
For 20 years, Lex owned The Extra Base, a collectible business in Ventura. After relocating to Beaverton in the early 1990's he worked as an independent contractor until retirement in 2012.
A good microbrew, golden retrievers, and family & close friends were his passion. He will be missed.
Left to cherish his memory: wife, Dee Crawford and daughters, Carol Nickerson, Tina Adams and Melanie Montgomery.
