Lena is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Enslow; grandsons, Peter Enslow and David Enslow; and by great grandchildren, Austin Enslow, Aubrey Enslow and Anthony Enslow, and several nieces and nephews.
She was born on September 14, 1920 in Spezzano Piccolo, Cosenza, Italy. She came to America in 1922 with her mother Teresina to join her father, Giovanni Yaconetti, who had come to Oregon to work on the construction of the railroad. She had three siblings, Vera Boehmer, Robert and Ernest Yaconetti, all who preceded her in death.
In 1941, she married her first love, Pietro Scarpelli, and was married until 1966, when Pietro passed away. In 1971 she married John W. Frost and was married to John until 1990, when he passed away.
During her long life, she enjoyed gardening, square dancing, traveling and just being with her beloved family. Her family remembers her tenacious attitude, living by her motto “Never Give Up.”
All are welcome to attend her life celebration at Holy Trinity. No reception will be held at this time.
The family would like to thank all who have helped in her final arrangements and the caregivers who ministered to her in her final hours.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.peggpaxsonspringerfuneralhome.com for the Frost family.
