Donald D. Johnson

Born in Easton Pennsylvania, June 23, 1932, the youngest of 9 to parents Eugene E & Emma M Johnson

Don served as a Corporal in the Army from 1/21/53 to 1/20/55

Don was a loving, & generous man who would help anyone in any way he could. He was always there to assist in projects, moral support, and give advice when asked. He enjoyed family, friends, gardening (vegetable/flowers) and trips to the beach.

He had several professions over his life, some were second jobs: Just to name few: He helped run the family laundry business, milkman, house painter, did lighting maintenance, grocery store produce man and a retail store inventory/stocker associate.

After 25 years he retired as a warehouse foreman to relax, enjoy life, and do some traveling. Visiting friends in Palms Desert California and to Sunriver, & Sisters Oregon, were among a few favorites, But Cannon Beach was the place they liked to frequent, where they enjoyed long walks on the beach and a comforting spa.

Don is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Lorelei, Cathy, David, Paul, and Lori, grand children, Jonathan, Lindsay, Cara, Casi, Emeilya, Carmen, great grandchildren, Noah, Cohen, his sister Lorraine and brother Elton of Pennsylvania.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday May 19, 2011, 10:00am at St Matthew Lutheran Church 10390 Southwest Canyon Road, Beaverton, OR 97005-1996, (503) 644-9148.
