A dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Vidor, Wilma was well known for her generosity and caring heart often delighting fellow churchgoers with her homemade pies at various church functions. She also served on the bereavement committee for many years making phone calls to provide meals for grieving families. Wilma aso enjoyed taking her good friend Helen to the beauty shop every Friday. In her latter years, she enjoyed spending "Fun Friday" with her daughter, Rhonda where they watched games shows together with the volume muted. Precious memories were made that will last longer than a lifetime.
Wilma retired as a bookkeeper from Edgar, Kiker, and Cross, where she had served with unwavering dedication for many years. Her love for giving back was evident in her selfless volunteer work at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, where she contributed an incredible 6,009 hours of service over 31 years.
Her hobbies included reading, a passion she shared with her siblings. Wilma was a loving mother, grandmother (Nonnie), sister, and friend who cherished her family deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Kenneth Davis and Eli Aldridge, and brother David Smith.
She is survived by her children, Ronald Davis and wife Freida, Rhonda Cash and husband Don; siblings, Linda Mullin and husband Tom, O.K. Smith; sister in law, Glenda Smith; grandchildren, Lauren Kirk and husband Kevin, Brian Davis, Aaron Cash and wife Amy, Crystal Humble; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
Wilma Faye Aldridge’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her legacy of kindness, service, and devotion to her family will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Lucas Court for their loving care and quality of life they provided for Wilma.
A visitation for Wilma will be held Monday, March 24, 2025 at 9:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Vidor, 350 N. Main Street, Vidor, Texas 77662, followed by a celebration of life at 10:00 AM.
