Terrell “A.T.” Baggett, 89, a seventy year resident of Beaumont coming from San Augustine passed away on Friday June 22, 2018 in Beaumont. A.T. was born in Shelby County, Texas on January 14, 1929 to his parents Elvin Barto Baggett and Beatrice Stevens Baggett who preceded him in death. He was a faithful member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Beaumont. He was a thirty-eight year dedicated Shift Superintendent for Mobil Oil Refinery. Mr. Baggett took great joy in being with his family at the beach and enjoyed making home movies of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved doing carpentry work, anything mechanical to fix, and Barbecuing. A.T. was a United States Navy veteran in the Korean Conflict with a rank of 3rd Class Machinist Mate.
A.T. is survived by his loving wife of sixty-eight years; Betty Baggett of Beaumont, son; Bill Baggett and Terry Dee of Lumberton, daughters; Beki Burton of Beaumont, Cathy Dodds and husband Michael of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, sister; Jimmy Wayne Puckett of Lake Elsinore, California, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 26, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
