Stephen Thomas McDaniel, 58, a former resident of Conroe and a lifelong resident of the Orange-Beaumont areas passed away on Saturday February 28, 2015 in Orange. Stephen was born in Houston, Texas on February 7, 1957 to his parents John Wilson McDaniel and Willie Bee White McDaniel who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are his wife Frona Rachelle McDaniel, three siblings, and his step-father who raised him, Richard Allen. He studied at Word of Faith Bible School which he used the learned knowledge to encourage other people about Jesus Christ. Stephen enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and music mainly Blues and Rock. But, his greatest passion was spending time with his grandchildren whom he dearly loved. Stephen was retired from Exxon Mobil bmp. He is survived by his daughter F. Marie Collins, son Stephen Allen McDaniel, brothers, Dickie McDaniel, Max McDaniel, Jimmy McDaniel and wife Edie, Johnny McDaniel and wife Lee Ann, Carl McDaniel and wife Mary Katherine, Steve Allen and wife Karen, Robert Allen and wife Debbie, sisters, Oleta Westfall and husband Stewart, Kaitlyn Allen, and Patty Allen. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Lillian McDaniel, Victoria McDaniel, Trenton McDaniel, Bryson McDaniel, Carson Collins, Carter Collins, and Christian Collins.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 6, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral service time of 1:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society of Southeast Texas in Stephen’s honor.
