Shirley A Ashworth

Shirley A. Day Hollingshead Ashworth was born on December 16, 1939 in Hodge, Lousiana to Fred & Donie Louella Poole Day. She was a homemaker, loved country music, traveling and being with her girls, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed eating good food and going to different casinos. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Fred “Ernie” Day. Survived by her husband Archie Ashworth of Corpus Christi, previous husband T.C. Hollingshead of Nederland, daughters, Carol Luce of Nederland, Sheila & Allen Hearne of Devers, Vonda & Richard Denman of Port Neches, stepson, Fred Ashworth of San Antonio, nieces Carey & Don Barr of Ragley, LA, Connie & Robert Hext of DeQuincy, LA, and Cynthia & Bob O’Neill of DeQuincy, LA, grandchildren, Clarissa, Vanna, Ray Anne, Casey, J.C. & Sam, great grandchildren, Audrey, Chandler, Riley, Layla, Gus, Ayden & babygirl. Shirley passed away from this earth on August 2, 2013 from a lengthy illness to be with her Lord and Savior. She will be missed by all of her family and friends. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Beaumont with Rev. Donald Bean officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
