Shirley Janet Alexander

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Shirley Janet Alexander will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00a.m. in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Tony Fitzgerald presiding. Visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Shirley was born June 6, 1938 in Arp, Texas to Walter and Lillie Martin and entered the Gates of Heaven January 24, 2017. She was a devoted member at South Park Church of Christ. Shirley loved sewing and was an avid gardener. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lillie Martin and by her brother, Chris Martin. Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Walter “Gene” Alexander; sons, Tommy Alexander and wife, Denice and Alan Alexander; daughters, Tina Witzleben and husband Larry and Barbara Cummings; grandchildren, Jeffrey Witzleben and wife Ashlea, Christopher Witzleben and wife Whitney, Amanda Glaesmann and husband Eric, Ryan Alexander, Aaron Alexander and Joy Cummings; great grandchildren, Chase Glaesmann, Halle Glaesmann, Brooke Glaesmann, Landon Witzleben, Ethan Witzleben, Noah Witzleben and Aiden Witzleben. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Witzleben, Christopher Witzleben, Ryan Alexander, Aaron Alexander, Eric Glaesmann and Larry Witzleben.
