Sandra grew up in Beaumont Texas, where she met her forever love and husband Rodney Smith. Together they raised their daughter Ronda and Son Joel.
Sandra is best known for being the worlds best mom. She always had the answers, even when we didn’t want to face it, she gave it to you straight. She claimed to be a bitch by a day because she couldn’t be born on Halloween and be a witch, but honestly she was the best person you could know. She loved rock n roll, and lived life in the fast lane, pedal to the metal full speed ahead, unapologetically herself. She found joy in the small things of life, like the beach, music, fast cars, books, and of course her family. She always gave the best hugs and advice, but would whoop your ass into shape if needed just to prove she could. She never met a stranger and would talk to anyone who listened, usually about her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Once she considered you family there was no backing out. She loved so fiercely and unconditionally. She can best be remembered for her wit, unconditional love, and wild stories of adventures past.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lillie and Glover, mother in law Annabel and father in law Billy, and forever love and husband Rodney.
Sandra will be forever missed by her Children Ronda and Husband Brian, and Joel and Wife Avery. Grandchildren Sarah, Rian, and Paydon. Great Grandchildren Riley and Sophia. Sister-in-law Sandra-Ann and Husband Don, Nieces and Nephews Nicole, Terance, Kenny, and Megan. Great Nieces Taylor, and Alyssa. Great Nephews Cory, Cooper and Wyatt. Best friend LaVerne.
A private family ceremony will be held at a future date. In Lieu of Flowers the family asks that you call a family member and tell them you love them. The greatest joy of life is family and she loved hers so dearly.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.forestlawnmpfh.com for the Smith family.
