Rosie Marie Collazo

Rosie Marie Collazo, age 73 passed away May 7, 2012 in Beaumont. She was born August 21, 1939 to Gabriel and Juanita Cruz in Beaumont. She spent all of her life in Beaumont working as a nurse’s aid and a homemaker. She loved playing bingo, traveling and spending time with her family and was very devoted to her grandchildren. She was a member of the Cristo Rey Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by one son and one daughter, two brothers and five great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Manuel Reyes Collazo of Beaumont, four sons, Joseph Christopher Collazo of Richburg, South Carolina, Richard Anthony Collazo of Beaumont, Manuel Reyes Collazo Jr. of Angeleton, Texas, and John Gabriel Collazo of Beaumont. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends and a Rosary will begin Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cristo Rey Catholic Church with Father Louis officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
