Rose Mae (Touchet Theall) Evans, 92, of Orange, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 31, 2025. She was born on January 18, 1933, in Youngsville, Louisiana, to the late Mae Nunez and Sydney Touchet.
She enjoyed various hobbies including gardening and spending time with her family. She was also a sports fan, particularly cheering on Texas teams with a special love for the Houston Astros. Rose was a model wife, mother, and friend. She was a loving, caring, and giving person who had a profound impact on everyone she met. Her greatest gift in life was her role as a caregiver, offering support, love, and comfort to those around her. She faced many challenges in life, but always overcame them with prayer and her unwavering faith in God. Rose was a loyal Catholic who gave her heart and soul to her faith, and she is now being rewarded in heaven. Rose will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her first husband of 25 years, Robert Lee Theall; her second husband of 25 years, Horace Evans; both of her parents; and her brother, L.J. Touchet.
Rose is survived by her daughters, Connie Brown, Deborah Evans, and her husband, Brady; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends. Her legacy of love, kindness, service, and faith will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
