Bob was a lot of things: hunter, angler, two-stepper, and father, to name a few. He could build (and fix) just about anything you set in front of him. He would do it for anyone too, even complete strangers, because that’s just who Bob was. He held high regard to being a helping hand to everyone around him, and everyone that met him immediately became his extended family. He didn’t hold grudges or sit in judgment of others for their past, and always made sure that people knew they could be themselves in his presence. Bob was a man who knew exactly how far respect goes, and he showed respect to everyone around him by always being willing to provide for those who may have relied on him.
Above all, Bob was a protector and a provider. He protected his beloved wild birds from the feral cats in his yard. He was stubborn enough to sit through Hurricane Imelda on an overpass to protect his beloved truck. He provided for all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren alike, none of which will never forget the things he did for them throughout the course of their lives, even when he didn’t have to do them. Bob went out of his way to make sure that those closest to him felt loved and supported, because he truly loved and supported everyone in his life. His family and friends know this, and we will gather in celebration of the life of our father and friend Bob Haacke.
Robert is survived by his son Robert G. Haacke Jr. and wife Sharon; his daughter Pamela Dietz and husband Clint; his daughter Becky Clemmons and husband Kyle; and his son William R. Haacke; his grandchildren Amber Hicks and husband Steve, Maegan Ward and husband Chance, Donovan Haacke, and Clara Clemmons; great grandchildren Ruby Hicks, Beau Hicks, Jade Ward, and Nolan Ward; and his sister Carolyn Jones.
Robert was preceded in death by his father George William Haacke, his mother Ollie Matlock Haacke, and his brother Richard Haacke.
