Margarita Aguilar Landa, born on Christmas Day in 1932 in Egypt, Texas, peacefully passed away on February 15, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas. She was the beloved daughter of Justa and Jose Aguilar. Margarita was married to Antonio Landa for over 40 years, and their love was a testament to the enduring power of commitment.
Moving to Beaumont in 1963, Margarita made the city her home for decades. She was a dedicated member of Living Waters Church, finding joy and solace in her faith. Margarita actively participated in Bible studies and church activities, embodying her commitment to spiritual growth. She was known as a prayer warrior, seeking strength and offering support to those around her.
Margarita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Antonio, her brother Domingo Aguilar, her sisters Manuela, Antonio Maldonado, Julia Jimenez, and Mary Aguilar Jimenez, and her daughter Stella Lopez. Although she has left this world, Margarita's legacy lives on through the cherished memories she leaves behind.
She is survived by her nephews Paul Jimenez and Larry Jimenez, along with their respective wives Yolanda and Kerry, of Beaumont and Kountze, Texas. Her nieces Esther Biano and her husband Mike of Vidor, Texas, and Debbie Jimenez Raine and her husband Freddy of San Francisco, California, also mourn her loss.
Family and friends are invited to a gather on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm for Visitation in the Chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 4955 Pine St., Beaumont, TX 77703. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Benny Thomas. Margarita will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, where she will find eternal peace.
Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her kindness, faith, and love.
