Larry Ray Wise, born on December 9, 1951, to Troy and Patricia "Patsy" Wise, peacefully departed this world surrounded by family on December 13, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rhonda Wise.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Monica Wise, his sons Brent Wise and Corey Wise with his wife Crystal, his daughters Mendie White and her husband Chase, and Ashley Wise and her husband Sandy Leger. He is also survived by his sisters Deborah Kattawar and Renee Smith.
A loving patriarch, Larry leaves behind a legacy of love in the form of his grandchildren: Chasity Wise, Dakotta Shafer, Ezekiel Wise, Rayne Wise, Baylee Moore, Kyleigh Moore, Matthew White, Austyn White, Hope Leger, Joshua Anderson, Skyler Delaney, and Landen Delaney, as well as his great-grandchild, Hazel Aguilar.
Larry will be fondly remembered for his boundless kindness and unwavering positivity. A man of many talents, he was a jack of all trades and had a wealth of knowledge about everything. Larry's love for sports cars, particularly Mustangs, was only surpassed by his passion for fixing them up. His love for fishing and devotion to his grandchildren were testament to his warm and caring nature. Larry was a co-owner with his wife and built 7 retail stores called Fashion Fancys. He had worked for Entergy sales and service, drove an ambulance, and was a general contractor for almost 50 years.
Larry graduated from French High School in 1970 and shared 51 wonderful years of marriage with Monica. A faithful Christian, he attended Christian Fellowship in Beaumont, TX.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home (4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, TX 77703). Visitation will begin at 1 pm, with the funeral service commencing at 2 pm. Larry will find his final resting place in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pastor Rick White will officiate the service.
Larry will be dearly missed but will live on in the hearts and memories of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
