Larry Covington Willis

He was born to the late Larry and Mary Willis on May 15, 1933, in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. Larry graduated from William R. Davie High School in Roanoke Rapids N.C. in 1951. He married Priscilla "Ann" Medlin in 1957. They lived together in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. before relocating to DeRidder, LA in 1968.

Larry was in the Marines from 1951-1957. He was then in the army as a Green Beret from 1965-1968. Larry was a foreman at Boise Cascade until he retired in 1995.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann Willis of Beaumont, TX. Children: Julie Shook of Sulphur, LA, Kathy Maurich of Beaumont, TX, Tracy and husband Ernie Bertrand of Kinder, LA and Chris and wife Rhonda Willis of DeRidder, LA. Sister: Linda and husband Albert Hargrove of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. Brother: Francis Willis of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
