Lanell was born on November 26, 1929 to Melvin and Irene Veitch. She retired in 1985 from DuPont where she had worked over 30 years as Employee Relations Specialist.
Survivors include sons, Jerry Sterling and his wife Mary Jo of Port Arthur, Richard Sterling and his wife LaVern of Orange; grandchildren, Morgan Hawley and her husband Chris, Cristy Holzapfel and her husband Mike, Misty Sullivan and her husband Dwight; great grandchildren, Chloe Sullivan, Alexis Sullivan, Veronica Sullivan, Andrew Sullivan and Maddox Stegall.
The family will receive friends at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, July 17, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Warren Wargo officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
