John was born on July 3, 1926, in Wichita, Kansas. He entered the Navy when he was 17 and served as a cook on three different U.S. Naval ships. John married Vivian Lockart in 1953. He was journeyman electrician and a member of the Local Union 479. John was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Vidor, TX.
John’s hobbies included playing Bridge and working out in his garage. He loved baking bread and cinnamon rolls and had to have his coffee. Him and his wife Square Danced for many years in the Beaumont area. John’s work took him all over and he and Vivian loved to travel throughout the country in their camper.
John is survived by his wife, Vivian, daughter Staceen Sinkler, son-in–law Herb Sinkler, granddaughter, Nancy Padgett, grandson Dean Sinkler, great grandson Trever Padgett, and great great grandbaby Natasha Gallegos-Padgett.
Luncheon will be held at 11:30 am, funeral services will begin at 1:30 pm at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, TX 77703.
