JW enjoyed saltwater fishing, cooking, and watching sports, especially the Houston Astros and any team playing against the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed tending to his chickens, quail and guinea fowl. JW was a man of faith and he attended Pecan Acres Baptist Church in Vidor with his family.
JW was preceded in death by his parents, John and Christine; his granddaughter, Haley Young; and by his brothers and sisters including Helen, Dan, Mary, Mack, Wayne, & Ronnie.
JW is survived by his wife, Patricia Holden of Vidor, TX; his sons, Wesley Holden of Houston, TX, Aaron Young and his wife Laurie of Lumberton, TX, Alan Young and his wife Wendy of Lumberton, TX, and Damon Young and his wife Michelle of Vidor, TX; his sisters Linda Nelson, Kay Davis, Brenda Butler of Vidor, TX and Rita Dorn and her husband Lonnie of Vidor, TX; his grandchildren, Desiree Young, Madeline Young, Cryslynn Bowers and her husband Jacob, Austin Young, and Camden Young; and his great-grandchildren, Millie and Mia Bowers.
JW will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of JW's life will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4950 Pine, Beaumont, Texas 77703.
