Jackie Carr

Jacqueline J. (Treme) Carr relocated to heaven on Thursday April 9, 2015 at the age of 77. Jackie was born May 15, 1937 in Jeff Davis Parish, Elton, Louisiana. Jackie is survived by her husband D. Ray Carr, of 56 years, sons Gregory Carr and wife Karen, Dennis Carr and wife Elaina, daughter, Phyllis Edelmon and husband Terry, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lostina Marcontel Treme, brothers Pressley,Ferris, sisters, Florence Johnson and Bertha Midkiff. Jackie graduated from Welsh High School in Welsh, Louisiana with the class of 1955, then from Hotel Dieu School of \Nursing with the class of 1958 as a RN and in later years with a Bachelor of Science in Speech with the class of 1981 from Lamar University. Jackie was for many years a volunteer Eucharist Minister at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. She also was a longtime member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Beaumont.

A family celebration of Jackie’s life was held on Saturday April 11, 2015 at 2:30 P.M. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

A special thanks goes to the exceptional Intrepid Home Health Service employees, Mrs. Sylvia Andel, RN, and Mrs. Karen Frelow, and all the staff at Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation.
