Ira Lee Henderson, Jr. “Sonny”, 87, of Beaumont passed away on Wednesday July 13, 2016 in Baytown. He was born on April 7, 1929 in Beaumont, Texas to his parents Ira Lee Henderson, Sr. and Nonie Lampley Henderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son; Rick Henderson. He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Patricia Ann Graves Henderson. Also surviving are granddaughter; Ashley Blevins and husband Nate, grandson James Henderson and wife Kelly, great grandchild Marjorie Henderson, and daughter-in-law Diane Henderson.
Ira attended Beaumont High School and graduated from Lamar Jr. College in Beaumont. He worked for Straughn Electronic Services for forty-one years. He belonged to Wesley United Methodist Church in Beaumont. Graveside services will be held on Saturday July 30, 2016 with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the service time of 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.
