Gertie Mae Guidry

Gertie Mae Guidry, 78, a sixty-seven year resident of the Orange and Beaumont areas, passed away on Monday June 29, 2015 in Beaumont. Gertie was born in Jeanerette, Louisiana September 15, 1936 to her parents Wilson and Rosabell Francis Marks, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her husband Charlie Guidry, two brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Guidry was a hard worker who worked the majority of her life. She also enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, decorating her home, cooking, and especially loved being with family and providing all their needs. Gertie is survived by her sons; Romon A. Guidry of Beaumont, Troy Angelo and wife Latisha of Orange, Ashton Angelo of Orange, three daughters; Yvonne Angelo of Houston, Maxine Castle and husband Jimmy of Beaumont, Stella Julian of Orange, and sister, Daisy Ledet of Orange. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, Tim Feathers and wife Renee’, Jermain Feathers,Benjamin Miller and wife Tausha, Troy Angelo, Jr., Hunter Angelo, Tony Tolliver, Roquel Guidry, Rochelle Feathers, Troyshetta Angelo, Amber Branch, Penny Roger, Nicole Julian, Nadine Roger, twenty-four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 3, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral service time of 1:00 P.M. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
