Frank grew up in Port Arthur and graduated from Thomas Edison High School. After graduating, frank joined Army, serving multiple tour in Vietnam. After his tours were finished, he stayed in the Army, eventually retiring after 25 years of service as a Sergeant First Class. Frank loved to visit home whenever he had the chance while on leave. He was a talented musician, playing the piano. He also loved to sing and dance. He was a happy person who enjoyed making others laugh. He was an intelligent man who enjoyed conversing with other, especially while spending time with his family.
Frank was preceded in death by his father Matilde Garcia and his mother Dolores Sanchez Garcia; his brother Martin Garcia; his sister Julia Garcia Cayou; his sister Mary Garcia Diaz and his sister Mona Garcia Guidroz.
Frank is survived by his brother Johnny Garcia of San Antonio, Texas, sister Amelia Garcia Austin of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and sister Gloria Ann Horton of Beaumont, Texas. Frank also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to honor his memory.
A Celebration of Life for Frank will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas 77703.
