Age 97, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
A visitation will be held for Frances on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 12:00 Noon at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas 77703. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elmo Reeves; son, Donnie Reeves; father, Johnnie Willis Crocker, Sr.; mother, Sophronia Clark Woods; brothers, Johnnie Willis "Bo" Crocker, Jr., Elton Eugene Crocker,; sisters, Edna Earl Buck, Patricia Barnard, Maxine Conner; son-in-law, Joe Perkins.
Frances led a life full of hard work and dedication. She spent many years working as a sales clerk in the men’s department of local clothing stores and later worked in the abstract office of a title company. In her childhood, she fondly remembered picking cotton with her grandparents, a testament to her strong work ethic and the simplicity of earlier times.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Leon Reeves (Verline) of Buna; daughter, Cindy Perkins of Lumberton; sister, Geraldine Conner of Cypress; grandchildren, Ryan Perkins (Nacona), Robert Perkins, Tonya Perkins, and Dewayne Reeves (Melissa); great-grandchildren, Katheryn Reeves, Tristen Reeves (Teresa), Lyla Perkins, Harley Skender (Cole), Tyler Landrum, and Hunter Perkins; and great-great-grandchildren, Levi Reeves, Hudson Reeves, Phallan Force, and Paisley Force; cousins, Carolyn Patterson (Mike), Connie Reece, Diane Halom; numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Ryan Perkins, Robert Perkins, Hunter Perkins, Tyler Landrum, Dewayne Reeves, and Tristan Reeves.
Frances will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on through the many lives she touched.
