Evie Jewel Soileau, age 76, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 in The Woodlands, Texas. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Max Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Evie was born in Brookland, TX on May 12, 1938. She was a long time member of Dowlen Road Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husband Burnell Soileau. One son, William Wayne Flurry, one daughter, Kayla Buchanon. And one step daughter, Joslyn Ilene Potter. Parents, Albert J. & Era Victoria Powell and three brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Austin of Montgomery, TX. Four step children; Melanie Hannah Landreneau, Reneau Pauline Rougeau, Mason Everett Soileau and Amanda Christine Hubbard all of Eunice, LA. A nephew, Teddy Powell. Four grandchildren, Paulene Weilnau, Brian Flurry, Floyd Calvin Moses III and Dustin Moses. As well as ten step-grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren.
