Earlene Williams Searcy Reynolds, age 86, died September 7, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel in Beaumont, Texas with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
Earlene was born on August 29, 1927 in Nash, Arkansas to the late Luther Earl Williams and Grace Victoria Sweeden. She was raised in Beaumont, Texas and then moved to Houston to spend the rest of her life. Earlene was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She was an avid “Aggie Fan”. She was as a real estate agent and was a member of the Sisters of Heart Beta Epsilon Sigma. Earlene was an avid golfer and played every day after her retirement. She also loved spoiling her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Harold Casey Searcy and her second husband Benjamin R. Reynolds, Jr. A brother, Alton Williams and two sisters, Mattie Alice Eakes and Eloice Cole.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah K. Valdes and her husband Roland of Houston, Texas and a son, Harold Wade Searcy of Washington, Texas. Two step children, Ben Reynolds III and his wife Beth of Houston, Texas and Rhonda Sands and her husband Melvin of East Bernard, Texas. Thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer Nikole Brooks, Karina Moore, Kristi, Missy Holliday, Chip Gates, Ben Reynolds IV, Scott Sands, Mary Beth Sands, Chris Sands, Teresa Valdes, Rolando Valdes, Jose Valdes and Sheridan Scott-Valdes, as well as numerous great grandchildren.
