Dorothy F Poole

Dorothy Forse Davis Poole, 83, passed from this life to her heavenly home on September 23,2017 at Argent Court Assisted Living in Bastrop, Texas surrounded by her loving family from complications of a fractured back. Dorothy was born to Emma Belle and Inlow Forse, Sr. on May 8,1934 in San Augustine County.

She is survived by four children, Carol Davis Andrus and husband Gilbert of Lumberton, Tx.; Cynthia Davis Faulk and husband Quincy of Groves, Tx; Joseph Clarke Davis and wife Kelli Elizabeth of Bastrop, Tx. and Jason Paul Davis of San Antonio, Tx.,and one brother I.L. Forse, Jr. and wife Dorothy of Baytown, Tx. Survivors also include grandsons Andy Andrus and wife Stacey of Sour Lake, Tx; Ryan Stimac of Vidor, Tx., Blake Stimac of San Francisco, CA., Dylan Davis of San Antonio, Tx., Brandon, Colton and Aaron Davis of Bastrop,Tx.,and step grandsons, Barrett Hamilton of Sour Lake, Tx. and Drake Mercer of Beaumont , Tx. Dorothy is also survived by three great granddaughters, Kristian Andrus Puckett and husband Derek, Andie Rae Andrus and Alyvia Stimac and one great,great, grandson, Hank Christopher Puckett.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Poole, son Elton Eugene Davis, Jr., grandson Brandon Christopher Andrus, sister Jackie Odom Brown, brothers Audis and Huey Forse.

Dorothy was a longtime employee of The White House and Gus Mayer department stores where she sold several lines of cosmetics. Before becoming employed, Dorothy was a stay at home mom. She was a talented seamstress and designer and enjoyed making beautiful dresses for her daughters. She loved to cook and keep a sparkling home for her family. She was a member of the PTA for twenty years and homeroom mother at one time or the other for each child. Dorothy's home was the stopping off place for many relatives and friends from east Texas. Most of all Dorothy can be described as the sweetest, most generous, kind hearted lady that many people ever knew. Her earthly presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
