Denise Darlene Barefield

Denise loved spending time with her family as well as crafting, reading and spoiling her fur baby Chloe. She taught Children's Sunday School at Friendship Baptist Church in Beaumont for many years and is currently a member at Calvary Baptist Church in Beaumont. Denise spent most of her career as a Director at Friendship Baptist Daycare and then spent several years working for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Barbara Ferguson. Survivors include her loving husband Ben Barefield of Sour Lake; sons, Charles Wesley Barefield of Beaumont, Gregory Allen Barefield and his wife Nadine of Fairfield, Arkansas; daughters, Patricia "Patty" Fay Walker and her husband Chuck of Sour Lake, Cheryl Kay Boutte and her husband Paul, Jr. of Vidor; brother, Mike Ferguson and his wife Judy of Beaumont; sisters. Donna Moffitt and her husband Sam of Beaumont, Deborah Ferguson of Beaumont; grandchildren, Nathan Boutte and his wife Erica of Vidor, Charles Walker III and his wife Crystal of Beaumont, Jordan Walker of Houston, Benjamin Walker of Beaumont, Levi Walker of Beaumont; great grandchildren, Natalie Walker, Jackson Walker; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A visitation for Denise will be held Friday, June 28, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas 77703 with Rev. Bill Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers, Greg Barefield, Wes Barefield, Paul Boutte, Jr., Chuck Walker, Nathan Boutte, Charles Walker, III, Benjamin Walker, and Levi Walker.
