Cynthia is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Charles W. Curry; daughter Carla Diane Michalka and husband Michael of Round Top, Texas; daughter Caren Jane LeMaster and husband Robert of Bevil Oaks, Texas; brother Wendell Bingham of Kerrville, Texas, brother Johnnie Bingham of Seattle, Washington and sister Wanda Fannin of Village Mills, Texas; grandchildren Lindsay White, Morgan Henkel, Alyssa White, Charlie Michalka; great-grandchildren Shane White, Hunter White, Chase White, Michael Henkel, and Graham Henkel.
She moved to Beaumont, where she started first grade at Junker Elementary School, and then on to Dick Dowling, graduating from French High School in 1956. While attending French High School, she met her high school sweetheart. After graduating in 1956, they were married. She began her career in banking at Village State Bank of Beaumont and continued her career until she retired from First City Central Bank in 1988.
Cynthia enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in her yard, tending to her flower garden, and spending time on the back porch visiting friends and neighbors. Her family enjoyed many delicious meals and conversations around the kitchen table. Cynthia was a life-long member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed fellowshipping and worshipping with others.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her father John A. Bingham and mother Ortha B. Chamness; brother Joe "J.O." Bingham; brother Virgil Lee Bingham and brother Doyle Calvin Bingham.
A gathering of family and friends for Cynthia will be held Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 4955 Pine, Beaumont, Texas 77703. A Celebration of Cynthia's Life will occur Thursday, December 12, 2019, at 2:00 PM, 4955 Pine, Beaumont, Texas 77703. Her burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Lemaster, Michael Michalka, Charlie Michalka, Kolby White, Ross White, and Oliver Henkel.
