Carol Lee Myers

Carol Lee Myers, age 73, of Lumberton, Texas passed away on Sunday January 26, 2020. Carol was born on April 2, 1946 in Concord, California to R.A. Smith and Mary Ruth Smith. She graduated from Nederland High School (Class of '64)

Carol was a loving, compassionate, giving, and hard working mother. Her children were always her first priority. Always willing to help in anyway, she would offer her last dime even if she didn't have it to give. She was quick witted. Had a great sense of humor and always had a big smile. She mostly enjoyed making sure everyone around her had a smile on their face.

She had a sense of adventure and love of travel. The beach was her happy place. She enjoyed the seagulls, looking for sea shells and loved lighthouses. She was happiest spending time there with her family. She left wonderful memories with her children fishing at Rollover Pass and other places day or night for flounder. Spending many weekends in Galveston just having fun. Even volunteering at beach clean-ups.

She also adored and loved her two grandchildren. She devoted all her time taking care of them, teaching them new things and making sure they always had fun vacations. She was most excited when she became a great grandmother. Whether she was Carol, Mom, or Nanny she was loved by all and will be deeply missed.

Carol is survived by; son, George Edward Myers Jr. and his fiancée Tracy McClelland of Lumberton, Texas; and daughter, Tracy Roberts of Lumberton, Texas; grandchildren, Chase Palmer, Whittney Holt and her husband Brandon; great grandchildren, Rowan Holt and Millie Holt; Aunt, Laree Reynolds and her sons Randy, Jimmy, and Bryant

Carol was preceded in death by her ex-husband, George Edward Myers Sr.; father R.A. Smith and mother Mary Ruth Smith.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life for Carol will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 30,2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel.
