Bobbie Jean Priest Stimac, 88, a twenty-two year resident of Lumberton and a forty-seven year resident of Beaumont, passed away on Thursday May 24, 2018 in Beaumont. Bobbie was born in Jasper, Texas on November 3, 1929 to her parents Robert A. Priest and Elvie Jane Dickerson Priest who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Frank Stimac, son Rodney Duane Stimac, brother; Jack Priest, and sister Patsy Chatelain.
She is survived by her two loving daughters; Denise Singletary of Lumberton, Rebecca Parsley and husband Tony of Kountze, sister; Maxine Jackson of Baytown, seven grandchildren; Todd Singletary and wife Lilly, Shayna Langston, Scott Singletary, Erik Hawkins, Beaux Hawkins, Ryan Stimac, and Blake Stimac, four great grandchildren, Beth Green and husband Michael, Kiesha Galvan, Britney Miller, Dyllan Mueller, and ten great great grandchildren.
Bobbie was a Baptist by faith who faithfully attended Magnolia Baptist Church and then went to Woodland Baptist Church in Beaumont and worked for twenty-five years in the Nursery Department for the two-year olds. When she retired she attended the First Baptist Church of Lumberton. She loved taking care of family and especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She also was a very avid reader.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday May 29, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
