Ruth was in the Women's Air Force ( W.A.F.), and then worked at Loyola Marymount University prior to moving to Beaumont, where she worked at Beaumont Senior Center and retired at the age of eighty years old.
Other special things we would like to share about Ruth is the love and admiration she had for her family, pets, gardening, knitting, coloring, and of course sloths. When Ruth was a child had an adventurous curiosity. During the war, she would pick up shrapnel and sing and play her harmonica in the air raid shelters. Ruth also sang opera and line danced. Her garden was featured in the local home tours and was also in the Cherry Festival Parade. She fell in love with Beaumont before moving to the city.
