Bob was born on September 9, 1947 in Robinson, IL, son of the late Gerald M. Davis and Margaret Jean (Gudekunst) Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years Julianne (Saunders) Davis of Banning, CA; his two children, John (Jennifer) Davis of Monrovia, CA; and their children Xander and Logan. Kristen (Tim) Cox of Ontario, CA and their son Brendan; brother John (Irma) Davis of Terre Haute, In; Janice (Jerry) Tracy of Dodge, WI.; and nieces and nephews.
In 1969 he started his career, as a math teacher, in the Danville, IL Public Schools where he taught until 1973. Following his teaching career he began working for the Bohn Manufacturing Company as a controller from 1973-1986. In 1986 he and his family moved to Chino Hills, CA where he began working for Ardco as VP in Finance and Administration from 1986-2002. In 2002 Ardco was sold to Carrier Corp. and in 2003 Bob began his career with Omniteam as their General Manager and CFO for 20+ years.
Besides Bob’s love of his wife, children and grandchildren he also loved his Miatas. He was the President of the Southern California Miata Club and member for over 30 years. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and the highlight was a 73 day around the world cruise.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
