Richard D. Brady, 86, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Banning, California. He was born July 21, 1927 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Frank & Anne Brady. Dick has been a resident of Sun Lakes in Banning for the past 11 years. After High School Dick served in the United States Navy during WWII as a Seaman First Class. At the end of the war he came back home to LaCrosse, where he went to college and then got a job as an engineer for the Trane Co., He married Kathleen Ambrose in 1949 and then moved in 1956 with his family to work as an engineer for Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, California for the next 30 years, until he retired in 1993.
Richard is survived by his wife, Kathleen Brady; daughters, Judy (John) Brady-Finke of Banning, Linda (Dean) Raynor of Idaho, Cheri (John) Garon of Valencia and Pati (Paul) Ellis of Westminster; sons, Steven Brady of Sylmar, Michael Brady of Newhall and James Brady of Valencia; sister, Patricia Doveri of Oregon; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church – 1234 Palm Ave., Beaumont, CA. There will be a reception at the parish hall after mass. Graveside will follow at the Riverside National Cemetery – 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA at 2:15 pm, Staging Area #2.
