Michael, age 98, passed away peacefully at home. He is survived by his two sisters, three sons, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. His passion for life embraced all who knew him. He was a Veteran of WWII, serving with honor.
His goal in life was to see others succeed as he did, and he received awards for volunteerism from many organizations. You would find him often at the VA sitting with other Veterans and counseling them. He was a generous and giving soul. His smile and easy confidence made you feel welcome and at ease with your troubles.
Michael loved his work and was a jack of all trades. Whether a restauranteur, a skilled chef, construction, or carpentry, he threw his heart and passion into it. He loved working on his home, actually assisting in its build. He enjoyed fine music, art, and politics. His laughter was infectious and heartwarming. He will forever be loved and missed. Sadly, his physical body could not keep up with his youthful vitality and energy.
You will be missed, reminding us to live each day fully, with gratitude, and to eagerly drink the cup of life to the last.
