Remembering my cousin Karl, who always gave a warm welcome when we would come to visit, usually just once a year. But we would share memories for an hour or more. Running through the orchard, time spent sitting on the bearskin rug. Hanging around the barn. His dad's beer stein collection. His mom's trichem liquid embroidery. Her watching Gunsmoke. Big family get togethers with lots of food. Home churned ice cream, vanilla and peach. I can't find my photos I took on my last visit, but here's one from about 1967, family reunion dinner in his mom and dad's house, which he later bought.
