Jim and I worked together at Seaside Printing for many years and he was always fun to be around. He always made me smile and laugh and make me glad that I was there. Sure missed him after he retired! My deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers to all his family and friends. I'll never forget him.

Sweet, Jamie, we had such a great time growing up on "The Block" on Espanita, didn't we!  It was a fun-filled, magical time that we all shared.  I will always  have fond memories of you and your sparkling brown eyes (like your Mom's) and your happy laugh!   A big bear hug is coming your way when I see you in heaven.  :D   Carol

Oh Jim, I have so many  memories of time spent with you, Yvonne, Charlene and George.  I'm sure there are many pictures of us all filed away, but here's one that I have and cherish.  I'm guessing it was taken in 1961 or 1962 in Beaumont, TX.  

Every time I flew out for a visit, you always seemed to call shortly after my arrival, then popped over to visit.  I was blessed that you took time to come by often while I was in town and made it a point to come over the evening before I flew back to Texas for one last visit.   I'm going to miss seeing you and getting one of your big bear hugs when I arrive in CA.  You may have been my mom's first cousin, but since she was the oldest grandchild and you were the 46th (or 47th?), you were more like a first cousin to my brothers and I.  You will be missed by many.  Fly high with the angels and rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior.  Love you big!  Yvonne, Charlene, George and family, I'm lifting you all up in prayer, asking God to give you strength today, tomorrow and all the days ahead.  Love y'all

I have come to this page countless times in the last few days only to leave as I was not sure on what to say.  I still am not so sure as I have so many questions and no answers to them.  Why now, why this man, what caused him to be called upon to watch over us.  Did my mom or dad or even my oldest son call him to join them at God's gate.   Jim is (was) the strongest man I knew in every way possible he was my tree when I needed to lean, an ear when I need to vent and a don't give a damn if that were needed as well.   I remember when we attended and worked the very first Long Beach Grand Prix it got us hooked and we worked many more after that.   Over the years we began going to NASCAR in Fontana and a few times in Las Vegas.  Like I said, we were hooked but we met and made many friends in the process.  There used to be a saying, "don't mess with the Quinn boys" something someone came up with and I'm not sure why to this day, oh well as he would say.   There are so many more (a life time) of memories I could share but not enough room.
I will tell you this, Jim was true to his word and if he gave it, you knew it was good as gold.  Once you became a friend of my brother you were a friend for life.  My tears are flowing and its becoming hard to see and type, so I will end with, I will miss you and will always love you my brother.  May God keep you in his loving arms and may you rest in peace in God's house.   Thank you for all you did for me Jim, I will never ever forget you.  

I remember the first time I met Jim was in the print shop at Wilson High School. He was one year ahead of me and was really helpful in getting me a shot at the Heidelberg KOR offset press. I knew from that point forward that this is what I wanted to do, I also found out he worked at Seaside Printing and the shop teacher asked if I work like to work there in the summer. Knowing that Jim worked there it made it much easier to go there. He was such a nice guy, always happy and up beat. After I left Seaside we only saw each other a couple times, but he was always smiling. Rest In Peace buddy. Chuck.

I truly wish I had a pic of Jimmy in his pink shorts or pink tank at the Fontana NASCAR race - talk about priceless. Or the look on his face when we’d all talk smack about his Jeff Gordon.  And when my guy was the candy man, I never had to wonder who ate all the M n Ms. y’all were great track neighbors & friends.  Jim’s face would light up when sharing stories of Presley or Sean. And no doubt his love for Joyce.  Our love, thoughts & prayers are with you all.

I don't even know wear to start... Jim was more than a step dad... he was my Father for nearly 30yrs. He supported me through so many things even if he didn't agree with me.  He never judge me but always gave me his honest opinion in a loving manner. And yes he took care of us even when he didn't have to. Jim I want to thank you for taking care of my mom. You will be missed and i will  to remember all the great times we shared. Thanks for being You!           I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

JQ,  as I’m working with printing for the Grand Prix this year I think of all the great memories we had together working the race, you, me, Mark Rapacz and John Eastin and your laugh, especially after the J-5 breaks. We sure had some fun times going up together at Seaside. Rest In Peace my friend.

My heartfelt sympathies to the family of Jim. He was as many things to all people in his life. It was my pleasure to work with him for nearly fifteen years at Seaside. He was a good honest man and made my job so much easier knowing he was there to help me any way he could. He now walks in the house of God.

A true mans man. Someone I could count on for everything. He was my grandpa, but was my father figure for many years. He taught me everything and made me the person I am today. He loved nascar, football, and was someone who could never sit still. You will live in my heart forever. 

I know that James was a great man.  Me and him always had the best times together.  Going to Nascar and camping in Silent Valley.  He was always the happiest when we were together because he got to spend time with his grandson.
