Irvin Bernard Hammock, age 70, of Beaumont, California passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Irvin was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Lucille Beck Hammock and James Hammock on March 1, 1955. Irvin (Irv) had a knack for music and movie trivia. He enjoyed sharing both; his taste in both was eclectic and vast...from old westerns to sci-fi and country to instrumental to rap. Irv was a fervent L.A. Lakers and Cleveland Browns fan. He was very proud of being a life-long Union member and was a strong supporter of adopting pets.
Irv showed me what love looked like and felt like...forever his BGB. He had the best dry humor! He could drop one-liners that would cause you to burst out laughing. He had the gift of truly "listening AND hearing" what you told him. He was quiet, but deep; giving love and support to those he loved and trusted. He was a deep believer in equal opportunity for everyone.
Irvin is survived by his spouse, Diana C. Hammock; his daughter Heathyr King; his step son Ian Wenzel; and his step daughter Aislinn Wenzel; his father James Hammock; his brother Darryl Hammock and his sister Bonita Gordon; his grandson Jakeh King, his grandson Jaazer King, his granddaughter Hadiya King, his grandson Jadon King and his granddaughter Halanna King and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Irvin was preceded in death by his mother Lucille Beck Hammock.
Irvin was passionate about supporting REDFOSA (Redlands Friends of Shelter Animals) and in lieu of flowers, a donation to REDFOSA would be much appreciated. Irvin's fur-babies were both adopted from REDFOSA.
