Charlene was well known for many things, but first among them was her undying love for her family, the affection she felt for the many students and staff she served, her ready and infectious, joyful laughter, beautiful singing voice, and strong faith in the goodness of God.
Charlene served in the Beaumont Unified School District as a parent, teacher, Assistant Principal and as the Principal of Anna Hause Elementary.
While among us, she gladdened the hearts of many and, though we are devastated by the loss of our wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, teacher and principal, we are heartened by the lives she touched and the people she loved along the way.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Jerry and daughters, Michaela Elizabeth, Miah Grace, and Malia Isabelle; mother, Delores Elizabeth Gray; sister, Debbie Palmer; twin brother, Roderick Gray; niece April Nicole Palmer; nephew Roderick Sterling Gray, Jr., great-nieces, Shareese Elizabeth Palmer, Makenzie Arianna-Jae Palmer, Kennadie Rose Palmer, great-nephews Jaylen David Folino, Walker Cameron Sterling Gray and many other relatives and close friends.
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
Charlene has loved (love), laughed (hope) and believed (faith), all while singing (joy)." These beautiful qualities will remain.
Though our hearts are broken, we are so grateful that we got to be her husband and her children, her beloved.
Charlene’s life was one of celebration!! Her heart was always celebrating others! Let’s join together to continue her legacy.
