“In The Meantime”
June 6th, 1949 ~ December 27th, 2023
~The very moment you became a mother, you were blessed with one of the most honorable names bestowed to women on this earth, “Mom.” You truly embodied and always did your very best to live up to the precious God-gifted name. As a single mom to three little girls, you had to work relentless hours to make sure our physical needs were met. Because of you and your sacrifices, your three little girls grew up to be loving, nurturing, thoughtful, strong, resilient, independent, take-charge women, just like their mama! However, the greatest gift you ever gave us was finding that little Ol’ church and taking us to a “Revival” church meeting, where each one of us, one, by one, throughout that week accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and received eternal life in Heaven. Because of that one choice, we will be with you again someday in Heaven welcomed by Jesus and You our very cherished and precious mom by His side. Your favorite verse of the Bible never changed. Through all the ups and downs of earthly life you clung to this God Breathed Scripture promise freely given to every person ever born. John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Our mom’s greatest desire is to be reunited with all her loved ones and friends someday to live together for all eternity. According to I John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Like our mom did so long ago, if you have not already, join her and take the opportunity right now to confess your sins and ask Jesus to come into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior and you too will have eternal life!
One last smile to leave you with is my mom’s favorite saying near the end of her earthly life, “In the Meantime.” As a gift to their grandma, written by and in their own words and drawings, her grandchildren and great grandchildren wrote on cards their cherished memories of our mom living out a legacy of loving God, unconditional love for all, her selfless giving, her tender nurturing, her unknowing belly laugh humor, her undeniable joy, her honesty, her strong work ethic; and never meeting a challenge she didn’t give her all into overcoming. So, “In the Meantime,” until we see her again, let’s continue to live out her legacy as individuals, spreading God’s unconditional love, happiness, kindness, and joy to everyone. Mom, this isn’t a goodbye, this is See You Later.... in Heaven. We love you our “Forever Nanny,” with all our Heartbeats!!!
Barbara is survived by her three daughters. Tracy LeVesque of San Jacinto, CA, Sandra Plesinger of Cherry Valley, CA, and Amy Hensen of Davis Junction, IL.
