She lived in Baytown, Texas, since 1950, except for a short stay in Fairbanks, Alaska. Yvonne retired from Exxon Baytown Refinery in August 1994. She loved her family and friends dearly. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church and enjoyed serving her church family in various capacities including Sunday school teacher, library assistant, and membership on numerous committees.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Billy Sartor, her husband of 51 years; her oldest son, Michael Sartor; and brothers and sisters, Bernard Miller, Bernice Mae Hardison, Bernelle Jones, Bertha Winkels, and Mondelle Comer.
She is survived by her sweet friend and companion, Rankin Claunch; two sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Kellie Sartor of Beach City, and Patrick and Charisse Sartor of Baytown; grandchildren, Kyle Sartor, Shannon Truitt, Haley Sartor, Jason Sartor, Stayton Sartor, Sydney Sartor; and one great grandchild, Rylie Sartor. She is also survived by her sister, Janice Day of Kaufman, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Her family will receive friends at Cedar Bayou Baptist Church, 3116 North Alexander Dr., Baytown, TX 77520, on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. with Dr. Mark Broussard and Dr. E. Richard Steele presiding. Burial will follow the services at Earthman Memory Gardens, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas.
Pallbearers will include Stayton Sartor, Kyle Sartor, Jason Sartor, Taylor Truitt, Danny Sartor, Rusty Sartor, and Leland Day. David Sartor will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
